We got a special treat tonight. Cord's older brother Derek who lives in Boston had a layover at our airport. His flight out was going to be delayed (we were hoping canceled). So we packed up the kids up and went to the airport to see him. The kids and I had not seen Uncle Derek since we lived in ID. In fact, he had yet to meet either Cole or Porter. The roads were horrible so we were late getting there and we didn't get as much time as we wanted to, but it was great to see him. He charmed the kids by giving them candy. The kids warmed up to him instantly. He took us out to dinner at a restaurant in the airport. It was fun. The kids enjoyed seeing uncle Derek and getting to know him a little bit. The twins refer to him now as dad's brother who looks like him. The time was short, but it was worth driving through a blizzard to spend time with family.

That must have been so fun for you. Next time don't tell us how bad the roads were so we don't worry about your safety the next time.
